Ground Turkey Meatball Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • ½ low-fat milk
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • ½ onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp parmesan or romano cheese
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp salt
  • black and red pepper to taste

Combine the breadcrumbs with milk and beaten egg and blend thoroughly.

Add ground turkey and remaining ingredients.

Using your hands or a meatball scoop, form the meatball mixture into balls about 1 inch in diameter. If the mixture is too dry to form balls, add more milk or water.

Saute the meatballs in batches using no more than ⅛ inch of oil. Fry them until they are brown and slightly crisp, about 8 minutes. Place the cooked meatballs on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil. This recipe yields about 4-5 servings.

If you want to cut calories, you can bake these meatballs in the oven at 400°F for about 20 minutes or until they are no longer pink in the middle.
