How To Make Pineapple Stuffing
Thanksgiving Recipe
Stuffing is one of the traditional side dishes families serve for Thanksgiving. You may either cook it inside the turkey, or separately in a casserole dish. This recipe for pineapple stuffings is best cooked separately.
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of country white bread, french bread, or honey whole wheat bread
- 20 oz canned crushed pineapple in heavy syrup, or half a fresh pineapple cut in 1/2 inch cubes
- 1 medium onion diced
- 2 stalks celery thinly sliced
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp sage
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 teaspoons salt
- 9x13 pan, greased
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, milk and pineapple syrup (if any). Slowly pour the liquid over the pineapple stuffing mixture so that everything is evenly coated. If the mixture seems too dry, add extra milk or turkey stock.
Spread the pineapple stuffing evenly into the pan and place in the center of oven. Cook at 350°F for about 20 minutes, or until top is golden. Voila!
