How to Make Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits
Many dogs love the flavor of peanut butter in their canine treats. Unlike chocolate and garlic, which dogs also like but shouldn't eat, peanut butter is safe for canine consumption. You can make delicious peanut butter doggy treats with a few simple ingredients. For this recipe, you should use all-natural peanut butter, not the kind that has extra sugar and salt. Adam's Peanut Butter and Food Mill All Natural Peanut Butter are excellent brands of all-natural peanut butter because they contain no hydrogenated oils or sugar additives.
Ingredients: 1 cup peanut butter, 2-3 cups whole wheat flour, 1 egg (optional).
Thoroughly mix the peanut butter and about 2 cups of flour until the dog biscuit mixture has the consistency of cookie dough. If you want extra protein in the treats, add an egg and a little more flour. Once the mixture is well-blended, roll it out onto a floured surface.
Roll the dough about half and inch thick and cut into bite-sized squares or dog bone shapes. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees.
